Ya got a DVD5 (4.7) and what ta play it on an iPOD?
(This should work with DVD9)
What ya need..
* A computer
* A DVD player in ya computer to read the farking movie ya wanta pirate
* 10 gig of spare hard drive space
* An Internet connection (ta download free software)
Step 1: Get a copy of (free) "K-Lite Codec Pack Full" and install. (K-Lite has DivX and Xvid, MP4, etc. and tons more codecs the below programs may use to help read and encode video.)
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Li...c_Pack.htm
Step 2: Get a copy of (free) DVD DECRYPTER...
http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/
Step 3: Get a copy of (free) Pazera Video Converters Suite
http://www.pazera-software.com/products/vcsuite/
Step 4: With DVD DECRYPTER, plop ya dvd into ya DVD drive...
Step 5: Follow the video below to rip "AVI"..
CONVERT DVD TO AVI (DIVX/XVID) WITH DVD DECRYPTER & VIDOMI
Step 6: The saved "avi" should play on an iPOD without the rest of the steps. The factor to take into account is the final size of the file and how much room an iPOD hard drive has.
Step 7: If you want to reduce your "avi" down more, then close DVD DECRYPTER, and open the second free program 'Pazera Video Converters Suite' (will even run from a USB stick
)
Step 8: 'Pazera Video Converters Suite' has many conversion choices.
For iPOD use the "Video -> MP4, M4V, MOV, MP3, AAC, WAV, AIFF" button
Step 9: Using the defualt setting may be ok. If not the program shows many option for reducing the quality of the "avi"

SIDE NOTE
I tried DVD Shrink to save a dvd to "AVI" but couldn't find the setting in version 3.2.
DaVo tried it on his and said DVD Shrink saved to AVI for him.
