quote from my mate on the subject earlier today:
"why dont you just put it in a tree?" Yer thats actually gonna be way easier - I only have to transport a ladder, not a huge mast and mother nature has already made it for me. Il have a look for a suitable timber specimen next time im out there Changes the plan a bit tho - I need to support a 12v battery and solar panel somehow also my magnetic wire twanga antennas will need some encouragement to stick to a tree ![]() I do like the discreet element of using a tree rather than a very obvious steel tower May prevent theft and/or vandals, also makes it harder for :dimmock: to find.....

![]() ![]() thankyou for exposing a flaw in the gayo repeater system... if the transmitter receives anything it buggers the whole lot up - ![]() CTCSS code is required on the TX radio to avoid any unwanted interference :dimmockturd:

Doing some local testing before the relocation to the south.
Aerials were too close together at first but after some adjustment it worked nice ![]() Even Lipstick was able to say hi on his way back to brisso..... But yer any receiving that happens on the transmit radio is not good for anyone... ![]() |
